Sebasco-Estates
is a small fishing village located approximately ten miles from Bath on Casco Bay. Many of the families of this picturesque village are the ancestors of the original settlers of the town. This is one of the most beautiful and most visited areas of Maine, near Popham Beach and Boothbay Harbor. Quaint fishing villages and historic towns offer an abundance of shopping; antique stores, historic museums and great seafood restaurants. Some of the recreational activities in the area include hiking, biking, fishing, boating, swimming, canoeing, sailing, golf, windsurfing and visiting area amusement parks. Sebasco Estates is also home to a well-known resort that has been in business on the peninsula for over 75 years. The resort offers rooms in their main lodge, cottages or a room in an authentic lighthouse. Popham Beach, near Sebasco Estates, is one of the longest and most scenic beaches in Maine. The Bath Maritime Museum and the antique shops of Wiscasset are minutes away. You can also spend a day exploring Portland, Maine's largest city, where you can stroll the Old Port Waterfront, wandering in and out of art galleries and arts and crafts shops. Boat trips to the nearby islands of Casco Bay are also available from the waterfront in Portland.

The Southwest Coast of Maine near Casco Bay has four seasons with mild summer temperatures in the 70s and low 80s. Interior areas experience a greater range of temperatures in the summer than low-lying coastal areas. Expect cool sea breezes, especially at night. Widely scattered thunderstorms, along with higher humidity levels, can occur along with patchy fog along the coast. Maine's coastal climate is ranked second to the Pacific Northwest in annual precipitation, and this moisture occurs in every from - from rain to ice and snow. Winters in Maine are quite cold with temperatures ranging from 11 to 31 degrees F. Average annual snowfall is 61 inches although snow melts more quickly along the coast than further inland.
