Fryeburg is a lovely old New England village nestled in the foothills of the White Mountains in western Maine. This town of approximately 3500 people has remained virtually unchanged over the years, and has a slow pace and a peaceful atmosphere. Western Maine near the New Hampshire state line enjoy four distinct seasons that typifies the best of a New England climate. There's plenty of clear, sunny weather with cool nights in the summertime, with occasional showers and thunderstorms. Extreme humidity in summertime is usually not a problem because temperatures are so mild. Fall is spectacular - crisp, mild days and cold nights, perfect for sightseeing.
