Brownfield is a tiny town located in Oxford County near the New Hampshire state line. With its wooded setting in the foothills of the White Mountains along the Saco River, many come to Brownfield for the exceptional trout and bass fishing found here. Brownfield sits in one of the most scenic spots of the state, and it makes a great place for a family vacation. It's near the Conway State Forest, Echo Lake State Park, and Wentworth State Park. Just some of the things to do in the area include camping, hiking, biking, parasailing, and swimming in the Saco River which is noted for its cool, crystal clear water and sandy beaches. Canoeing is an especially popular sport in the Saco River and there are lots of opportunities for the advanced and beginners.
